UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Recovery work continues across Central New York following Tuesday’s spring snowstorm. Utility crews from across the Northeast and Canada have been working to bring more homes and businesses back online. The hardest-hit areas remain without power in Northern Herkimer County and Otsego County.

As of early Thursday afternoon, the following location is available for assistance.

LAURENS FIRE DEPARTMENT – open as a warming station. Warm meal available until 4:00 PM, provided by the Ladies Auxiliary.

EDMESTON CENTRAL SCHOOL – open Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a warm meal and hot shower.

Emergency shelters remain at Oneonta Armory and Clark’s Sports Center, Cooperstown.

In Herkimer County, the area along Route 20; West Winfield, Cedarville, Warren, and Jordanville, the estimated time of recovery is Thursday at 11:30 PM. In the area north of the Kuyahoora Valley; Ohio, Norway, and Russia, the estimated time of recovery is Thursday at 11:30 PM.

POLAND FIRE STATION #1 – dry ice is available Thursday between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
