ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — Rome Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a shots-fired incident on East Dominick Street on Thursday, November 2.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the 200 block of East Dominick Street at approximately 7:10 pm. When they arrived, they interviewed the resident who stated that at about 6:40 pm, they had heard a loud noise. Shortly after hearing the noise, the resident found what she believed was damage caused by gunfire.
Further investigation found a bullet inside the residence that confirmed it was fired into the home. The investigation is currently being led by the Rome Police Department’s Detective Division, along with their forensics unit.
The Rome Police Department is currently asking any residents with surveillance cameras to review the footage. If you find any suspicious footage on the camera, you are asked to call the Rome Police Department.
