UPDATE: Police Identify Victim Of Saturday’s East Utica Crash

Second Person Hospitalized

UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Utica Police have released the identity of the man who died in a Saturday early morning crash on the Parkway in East Utica. The deceased is Jaedon Jarosz, 21 years old, of Utica.

Utica Police were called to the Memorial Parkway and Sherman Drive, near the MVCC campus shortly before 4:00AM Saturday. They found a single vehicle that was extensively damaged. Inside the vehicle was a male, who was extricated and taken to St Elizabeth Hospital with what police say were non-life-threatening injuries.

Police at the scene were directed to a second person who was located near the vehicle. That is where they found Jarosz. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Utica Police closed off traffic on the Parkway for several hours to reconstruct the crash. They are investigating the crash and other factors that they believe may be related to the incident. The identity of the person who was injured in the crash has not yet been released.
