Four Taken To Hospital With Gun Shot Wounds

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The victim from what is now the homicide shooting that took place on Saturday of last week has been identified as 23-year-old Donte L. Harris of Utica.

UPD says that developments in the investigation have been continuing hourly and that there will be more updates released very soon.

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The Utica Police Department has announced this morning that the individual who was struck in the head during the shootings that took place on Saturday has sadly passed away.

The victim’s family has been and the UPD will be releasing more information at some point during the day today. The investigation will now continue as a homicide.

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – Utica Police have released some information about the four men who suffered gun shots wounds in an incident on Noyes Street in Utica Saturday night. The names of the four were not disclosed, however Utica Police report that the ages of the victims range from 23 to 39 years old.

Police were called to the 700 block of Noyes, near the intersection with Sunset Ave, about 8:20PM Saturday. Police discovered, upon their arrival, that four men had been hit by gun fire. One man was shot in both of his legs. His injuries are not considered life threatening. Another of the victims was shot in the stomach and his injuries are not life threatening. A third victim was shit in the chest and, while he is in serious condition, police expect that he will survive. The fourth victim was shot in the head and is in critical condition. HIs outcome is uncertain. The four victims were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica.

Utica Police Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation of this incident. The crime scene area remained closed off Sunday morning as police searched for evidence during daylight hours.
