The Strawberry Moon will rise over Central New York at dusk Friday evening.

June’s full moon falls on the 5th at exactly 3:12 PM ET.  It’s one of the latest rising and lowest full moons of the year. It will rise over Central New York at 8:43 PM Friday evening and set at 6:01 AM Saturday morning, providing sky-gazers the opportunity to view the full moon both at dawn and at dusk.

This full moon also coincides with a partial lunar eclipse, however, it will not be visible from North America. The next full moon, the Thunder Moon, falls on July 5.
