NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The New Hartford Police Department has reported that a fire took place at a home on July 26th, leaving a man in critical condition.

Around 5:15 am on Tuesday, the New Hartford Fire and Police Department responded to a fire at 2 Woodbury Road after two bystanders witnessed smoke coming from inside the home.

Emergency Fire Respondents rescued two occupants of the home. A man who is still in critical condition and a woman who was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital and was then released.

The cause of the fire is unknown but still being investigated by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control in conjunction with New Hartford Police.
