CLINTON, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – On Sunday Nov. 14th, a dog was abandoned on the spring farms cares property in Clinton. The owners drove off leaving the dog running, but the spring farms cares staff were able to get her inside the next morning.
As of right now the dog is in a foster home. Co-founder and Vice President of Spring Farm Cares says that this abandonment is illegal in New York State and the case is currently under investigation through the Central New York SPCA. We spoke with Hayman about how the community can help.
“We’re getting a lot of calls of people asking to adopt the dog. That’s not going to happen for a long time because we have to go through the legal case. People can make donations. Spring Farm Cares does not take dogs in our sanctuary we are doing this as an exception at this point we’re not a place where people we’re making an exception so there are extra costs involved,” said Dawn Hayman.
If anyone has any information on the dog or the vehicle you can contact the organization through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
