UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The City of Utica reminded residents on Tuesday, November 14 that the period to leave green waste at the curb for the fall will end on Friday, November 17.
Allowable materials include grass clippings, leaves, weeds, flowers and bundled limbs and branches no longer than four feet and under 50 pounds. The city also reminded residents that it does not pick up large green waste items such as stumps and logs. If you have such things to dispose of, you are asked to call the Oneida Herkimer Solid Waste Authority at 315-731-0238.
The last pickups will go as follows:
- North Side: Monday, November 13
- Upper East Side: Tuesday, November 14
- South Side: Wednesday, November 15
- Lower East Side: Thursday, November 16
- West Side: Friday, November 17
Residents are reminded that the final pick-up date give is the last day to put out bulk green waste.
Failure to properly dispose of green waste may result in fines from the city. If you need more information, you are encouraged to check the city’s website at cityofutica.com or the distributed mailers for collection schedules and proper instructions for disposal.
