VERONA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The New York State Police in Oneida County has reported that a Canastota man was killed in an accident that took place in the Town of Verona on April 20th.
According to police, around 11:05 pm on Wednesday, 35-year-old James J. Short of Canastota, NY was traveling North in a 2014 GMC U-Haul Box truck on Route 46 near Lock Road in the Town of Verona. At the same time, 30-year-old Christopher J. Moore of Blossvale, NY was in his 2006 Dodge pick-up truck when the two vehicles collided.
New York State Police in Oneida is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 46 near Lock Road in the town of Verona.
Unfortunately, James Short was pronounced deceased by emergency services at the scene of the accident. Christopher Moore did not receive any injuries in the crash.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing. Eyewitness News will update this story with any new information as it is released.
