Little Falls City School District Closes Schools After 3 Positive Cases


(WUTR-TV) — The Little Falls City School District has confirmed 3 positive cases of COVID-19. The district’s superintendent Dr. Keith Levatino said he believes there’s been an overall increase in positives after Halloween weekend. Because of this, he has decided to air on the side of caution and close down some of their schools until the new year.

“As the superintendent, my number one priority is to protect the health and safety of everyone. So as a result of these 3 confirmed cases I have made a decision that we are going to move district’s grades K-7 to a fully remote, virtual model effective November 30th to January 4th they day we return from Christmas holiday break.” – Dr. Keith Levatino, Superintendent, Little Falls City School District

After the winter break, Levatino says they will reassess where the community is, in terms of new cases, and figure out whether or not students can return to school.
