UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY-TV) – The Utica Police Department is reporting that a Level Three Sex Offender has been arrested after breaking the terms of their parole.
On Wednesday September 8th, NYS Parole Officers conducted a visit to the home of 40-year-old Christopher Bailey, a Level Three Sex Offender who lives in the City of Utica. Because Bailey is a registered sex offender, the terms of his release state that he is legally not allowed to own/possess smart phones or to be associated with any social media accounts.
During the Parole visit, Officers allegedly located a smart phone inside Bailey’s residence by which he had access to four unauthorized social media accounts. After finding the illegal item and activity going on, Bailey was arrested and brought to the Utica Police Department.
Christopher Bailey has been arrested and charged by the Sex Offender Unit with the following:
- Five Counts of Sex Offender Registry Failure to Register Social Media Accounts (Class E Felony)
