Large brawl in Utica leads to man being stabbed in back

UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Utica Police Department has reported that a woman was arrested at the beginning of this week for stabbing a man in Utica.

Around 4:00pm on Monday October 4th, UPD was sent to the intersection of Eagle Street and Seymour Avenue in Utica after receiving a call about a stabbing incident that had occurred. When Officers arrival on the scene, they learned that a man had just been involved in a large fight and was stabbed at least two times in the back.

During the initial investigation, the assailant’s identity was unknown and the case had to be turned over to UPD’s Criminal Investigations Division. It was later learned that 37-year-old Ramona Delacruz of Utica was responsible for the assault.

Delacruz has been arrested and charged with the following:

  • Assault in the Second Degree
