Larcenies continued Tuesday night in Sauquoit

SAUQUOIT, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the vehicle larcenies started last week have again continued last night with more incidents occurring this time in the Sauquoit area.

During the night Monday and into the early morning hours of Tuesday October 12th, several more unlocked vehicles were illegally entered, and had items taken out of them. The OCSO Criminal Investigation Unit says that they do now have surveillance footage showing the individuals going through the vehicles and that they are in the process of trying to identify who those persons are.

If you have any information about these crimes or the individuals involved, please contact Investigator Rick Stanek at (315) 765-2725.

The Sheriff’ Office is strongly recommending that you keep your vehicle locked and secured and that you remove all valuable belongings including keys, jewelry, electronic devices, or any other important objects that may tempt a would-be thief to break into your vehicle.
