UTICA–Another building was brought to the ground, Monday, amid plans to place a hospital in downtown Utica.

Days after the Norm Seakan Building was taken down, the Jones Building followed suit.

Columbia Street between Cornelia Street and Broadway was closed for the demolition.

Mohawk Valley Health System says the stretch of road will remain closed through Tuesday.

“The street may need to remain closed on Wednesday, November 27 as well. That determination will be made around noon (Nov. 26) and will be communicated,” said MVHS Vice President Communications Caitlin McCann.
