The rains stayed away for the House of the Good Shepherd’s 14th annual golf tournament! The House of the Good Shepherd gives treatment to more than 600 children and families each year, with a goal of overcoming emotional, social or behavioral problems. The executive director says it’s events like today’s golf tournament that keeps their services and programs alive.
“Government funding isn’t sufficient to support everything we need to do so this kind of event provides us with additional funding for us to renovate cottages, buy new furniture, and provide special services to kids,” says William Holicky, House of the Good Shepherd executive director.
Over 100 golfers came out today, and Holicky expects they’ll make about $50,000 dollars.
