WESTMORELAND, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Elevate CNY, a new sports facility run by Integrated Community Alternatives Network of Utica (ICAN), announced on Friday, March 17 that it will host a parent/child cornhole tournament and local celebrity meet-and-greet.
The event, scheduled to start at 9:00 am on Sunday, March 19 at Elevate CNY in Westmoreland, is an event sponsored by ICAN intended to provide family fun and promote wellness in children. The event will also showcase ICAN’s new sports facility, which opened in November of last year.
Celebrities scheduled to attend include Remsen native and Olympic luge medalist Erin Hamlin, as well as Rome native and former New Jersey Devil Tim Sestito. They, along with several representatives from the Syracuse Mets, will be there for photo opportunities and autographs starting at 11:30 am.
If you want to participate in the cornhole tournament, it is $30 per team. There will also be a raffle during the event for various prizes, including Utica Comets and Utica City FC tickets, as well a signed jersey from former Syracuse quarterback Donovan McNabb.
