Free Tax Tips


Assemblyman Anthony J. Brindisi is urging local low-to-moderateincome residents to take advantage of free tax filing programs and servicesthat are being offered by the State of New York.

Brindisi says the State Office of Temporary and DisabilityAssistance (OTDA) and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance areteaming up to offer free income tax preparation and e-filing services athundreds of sites across the state.

Brindisisays anyone who makes $50,000 or less can qualify for VITAassistance, while residents earning $57,000 or less have the option of accessingfree on-line tax filing services at the New York State Tax Department’swebsite,
