Four people, two adults and two children, suffered burns in a house fire on Post Road in the Town of Augusta Thursday morning. The extent of the injuries are not yet known. The initial call came in at 11:30AM from a delivery person that smoke and flames were seen at 2580 Post Road. Fire companies from Oriskany Falls, Vernon Center and Deansboro were among the first to respond. They noted heavy smoke could be seen from a distance away from the fire.

Post Road is a dead end road that runs off Knoxboro Road, near Route 26, in Augusta. Fire companies from Oneida and Madison Counties were called by Mutual Aid to fight the fire. Fire companies encounter high amounts of heat generated by the blaze.
