According to the Center For Disease Control and Prevention, it is estimated that more than 427 thousand people are diagnosed with Lyme Disease each year. Many more people could be walking around with the disease because they are unaware of what the warning signs are. Now, Kathryn LaPaglia is on a mission to spread awareness after being diagnosed at the age of 19. LaPaglia wants to make sure nobody in the Mohawk Valley has to endure what she went through and is taking steps to raise awareness about Lyme Disease.
Eyewitness News reporter Jenn Seelig spoke with LaPaglia to learn more about her journey.
