The VVS baseball team takes a visit to Notre Dame on Tuesday.

Andrew Roden gets the start for the Red Devils and dominates, striking out 10 in five scoreless innings to lead VVS to a 12-0 win.

In other scores from around the region, Notre Dame bounces back in their second game of the day with a 4-3 win over New Hartford, Holland Patent gets a convincing 11-2 win over Westmoreland and Whitesboro beats CVA 12-5.

In softball, Jenn Sciortino smashes two home runs and drives in five runs in Whitesboro’s 7-5 win over Holland Patent.

And Cardell Hayes is set to be sentenced Wednesday for the death of former NFL star and Utica native Will Smith.  Smith was shot to death by Hayes after getting into an altercation following a car accident in April of 2016.
