For the second year in a row the Syracuse women’s basketball season came to an end at the hands of UConn.  Junior Kia Nurse struck for 29, including a 9-12 performance from behind the arc, to lift the Lady Huskies over Syracuse 94-64. On the men’s side there was more than just a simple box score to report. Long time assistant Mike Hopkins announced he’s leaving Syracuse to take the head coaching job at the University of Washington. The Syracuse alum had been on the coaching staff since 1996, and was the heir apparent to the SU basketball throne. On Monday Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim held a press conference to address the departure of his long time assistant.

We end on some none Orange news as we looked at the future of Tim Tebow. The former Heisman winner will continue his baseball career in the New York Mets’ farm system.
