Not even 24 hours after the end of the NHL trade deadline, the Vancouver Canucks have made good on their promise to give multiple prospects a chance in the NHL. First to go was forward, and Comets leading goal scorer, Brendan Gaunce.
Plus both the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills used the franchise tag to lock up one of their own. Jets signed Muhammad Wilkerson (DE) for $15.7 million. Bills in turn grabbed Cordy Glenn (OT) to the tune of $13.7 million.

Finally, Saturday (03/05) is the last day to sign up for the Mt. Carmel East Utica Baseball league. Registration is from 9 am – 2 pm in the Main Lobby of the Parkway Recreation Center. It is $75 for the first player in a family and $40 for any additional player.
