Mohawk Valley got down big early and never recovered against Baldwinsville. Bees left the JFK Arena with a 8-1 victory. Noah Lamie scored the lone goal for Mohawk Valley who fell to 4-8-1 in conference play, 11-8-1 overall. Bad news continues, as the loss eliminated them from playoff contention.

Plus the injury bug is after the Vancouver Canucks yet again, and the comets are feeling the effects. Due to broken bones suffered by Alexander Edler and Brandon Sutter two Utica Comets players have been plucked from the roster. The pair being, defenseman Yannick Webber and center Alex Friesen.

This is Friesen’s first call up to the NHL. Comets return to the AUD on Friday when they host Binghamton. Meanwhile, Vancouver is off until Saturday when they’ll welcome in Toronto
