Empowering Victims Of Domestic Violence

Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon was a co-sponsor on a package of bills that passed through the New York State Assembly earlier in the week. The bills will give peace of mind, and help those who have been victims of domestic abuse to transition back towards a life of normalcy. The bills would help victims to keep their information private, such as medical records and voting, to protect them from previous abusers. It would also give victims a path to seperate themselves from their abusers, such as exiting phone contracts and lease agreements.
