Over a million New Yorkers have taken advantage of the state’s first early voting period in a presidential election year. In the first four days of early voting 1,032,354 votes have been cast, just over 8% of the electorate having voted. These numbers do not include absentee and mail in ballot requests.
Locally, from Saturday to Tuesday, 7,288 early votes have been registered in Oneida County, 5.34% of the registered voters having already voted. In Herkimer County, 2,407 early votes were cast over those four days, 5.88% of county voters. 2,664 people in Otsego County voted in the first four days of early voting. That is 7.36% of Otsego County’s registered voters.
Early voting is going on until Sunday, November 1st. Oneida County has three early voting sites and only one in Herkimer County and one in Otsego County. For information on those locations and times to vote, check these county websites:
