(WUTR-TV) — New Yorkers can cast their early from Saturday, October 24th until Sunday, November 1st. You don’t need to bring any documents or forms of identification with you and no appointment is necessary.
When you go in you’ll give the inspectors your name and sign using a poll pad, then your ballot will be printed and handed to you in envelope for you to fill out in a privacy booth, before placing it into the machine. Everyone must wear a mask and maintain the COVID-19 guidelines. You may be asked to wait outside or in your car if there’s too many people in the voting site.
In Oneida County, you can early vote at 3 locations: The South Rome Senior Center, New Hartford Town Hall and the Jorgenson Center at MVCC. In Herkimer county go to the Herkimer County Community College Athletic Center located on 100 Reservoir Road. Otsego County residents can go to the Meadows Office Complex at 140 County Highway 33W in Cooperstown.
Voters who would like an absentee ballot have until October 27th to apply by mail and November 2nd to apply in-person. All absentee ballots must be posted marked by November 3rd. For more information visit your county’s board of election website.
