UTICA–The man accused of killing his grandmother and her landlord has been deemed fit to stand trial, the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office says.
In January, Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara indicated Aubain was not mentally fit for trial.
Naythen Aubain, 29, allegedly murdered his 90-year-old grandmother, Katherine Aubain, and her landlord Jane Wentka, 78, in January.
Aubain faces two counts of first-degree-murder.
During arraignment he told the court he killed the woman, and cut them up.
McNamara says Aubain is scheduled to appear in Oneida County Court next week.
