GNYHA and HANYS are implementing a 2-week pilot program in 16 hospitals across the state to allow increased visitations for family members and loved ones. As part of the pilot, visits are time-limited and visitors are provided and must wear PPE. They are also subject to symptom and temperature checks during visitations. In the Mohawk Valley, Bassett Medical Center is the participating hospital.

As we approach the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, the state will allow ceremonies with 10 people or less. Ultimately local governments will decide whether or not to allow this. Cuomo has also suggested vehicle parades to honor veterans.
