MVWA says the impacted areas are from where Oxford Road and Hoffman Road meet, going south to 3800 Oxford Road.
“During this time, customers are advised to boil their water for at least two minutes before using it for drinking or cooking,” MVWA says.

- Snowden Hill Road from Oxford Road westerly to 3884 Snowden Hill

“Customers are also advised against using any water that appears cloudy or discolored, especially hot water, since such usage will draw the water into the hot water tank, and customers will have to flush the tank once clear water becomes available. Customers should also avoid washing their clothes in discolored water, as it may contain sediments that could permanently stain their laundry.”
The break occurred at 120 Oxford Road, and water has been restored to the estimated 420 metered customers who were without water, MVWA Executive Director Patrick Becher said.
Becher says water samples are being conducted as crews finalize maintenance work at the break site.
