Bank of Utica Prepares to Re-open Lobby in Phase Two

If the hospitalization rates, deaths and new cases continues to decline, Oneida County’s phase two re-open date is set for next Friday, May 29th.

Bank of Utica Vice President, Barry Sinnott says they are ready to re-open their lobby in phase two but with new guidelines, starting with appointment only.

“That means if you need to see a personal banker or commercial banker, if you need to renew a loan with a teller, you come in to be appointment only.” —Sinnott

As more things start to re-open, the bank would then transition to opening their lobby to regular bank traffic but at a limited capacity.

“We would be limiting the number of people that could come in, for example, if you’ve gone to Home Depot, it might be a line there, you have to wait until a certain number of people clear out of the store. We would do the same thing here at our bank…” —Sinnott

Social distancing guidelines will still apply. The bank has purchased germ guards, social distancing decals and hand-sanitizer.
