Arrest Made In Clinton Stabbing


New Hartford Man Is Charged

A New Hartford man has been charged with a double stabbing that happened early Friday morning at the Village Tavern in Clinton. Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol announced that Jason Allen, 38 years old, was arrested at his home around 8:15AM Friday and charged with Second Degree Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Both are felonies.

Kirkland Police and Oneida County Sheriff deputies were called to the Village Tavern on College Street in Clinton around 2:00AM Friday. They found two adult men who had suffered stab wounds. One of the victims suffered a stab wound about his face. The other victim sustained two stab wounds to his abdomen. Both men were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica, where they were treated and released.

After working to develop a suspect identification, Sheriff Units were able to execute the arrest of Allen. Allen was taken to the Oneida County Jail, pending arraignment.
