Albany Sending Money To Area To Repair Roads Damaged By Weather


$6.8 Million Set Aside For Local Roads

New York State has allocated $151 million dollars to repair roads across the state that were damaged by extreme weather events in the state. $6.8 million dollars will be coming to Mohawk valley area roads.

$1.1 million will be used to repair Route 51, the Ilion Gorge roadway, in Herkimer County. The area involved runs from Cedarville to Remington Road near Ilion.

$1 million is set aside for work on Route 233 in the Town of Kirkland, from Route 412, College Street, to Access Road.

There are two projects involving Route 7 in the Otsego County area. $4.7 million has been earmarked from County Road 38 in Worcester to the Schoharie County line and continuing into Schoharie County to Hite Road.
