The Mohawk valley’s centralized location is once again paying dividends. Governor Cuomo’s office has announced that Orgill, a company that supplies hardware stores, lumber yards and farm centers across the US and Canada, will locate their first Northeastern distribution center in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park. The company will construct a 780,000 square foot facility. The price tag for that will be $70 million dollars. 225 new jobs will be created by the operation.
Orgill joins a growing number of large companies that are taking advantage of the centralized location of the Mohawk Valley. Walmart, Tractor Supply and Family Dollar all operate distribution centers in the area.
