4 from Oneonta Charged with Murder


Result of an Investigation into Worcester Fire

WORCESTER–Four people, three of them teenagers, have been charged with the murder of a man in Worcester.

New York State Police were called to a house fire on Head Road, Thursday night around 9:17 p.m.

Found dead in the house was Kenneth Robinson, 53 years old. An investigation by Troopers determined that Robinson died from a gunshot wound. 

Arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder is Nicholas Meridy, 32, of Oneonta and three teenagers, one aged 17-years-old and the other two are 15-years-old. They are currently in the custody of the State Police. 

The State Police report notes that they believe this was not a random act of violence and that there is no threat to the public. No other suspects are being sought.
