Chase Campbell joined the Eyewitness News team in January 2020. He’s newly moved to Central New York after graduating with a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Kentucky in December. In the Bluegrass State, Chase covered the Wildcats’ basketball and football teams for three seasons, editing for the school’s newspaper. He’s covered Division I NCAA Tournament or postseason games in six sports, and regular season events in two more. He interned WLEX, a local TV station, learning how they tell stories and how they report every day. He made the switch to general local news when he moved to New York.
Chase is from Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky, which sits on its northern border with Indiana. In his free time he enjoys playing NBA 2K, hanging out with his dog Toews and eating Italian food.
