UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Utica Police Department has announced that the two child victims that passed away in Utica’s Thorn Street fire on Monday December 27th have been laid to rest.

A ‘Community Relief Benefit’ is being held in their honor on Saturday January 9th, from 3pm to 5pm at the North Utica Senior & Community Center at 50 Riverside Drive in Utica. Sponsors include the City of Utica, the UPD, Councilman Delvin j. Moody, Soul.112, DHayes Catering, Doneilous King, Senora Pierce, Character Coffee, and the North Utica Senior & Community Center.

The family lost all their belongings in the fire and the UPD is asking that you please consider donating. They are accepting the following clothing sizes:

10-12 GIRLS
14 GIRLS/XS in women
Small in women’s
Shoes 2, 3 & 6 in women
