Oneida County: Public Risk Exposures

Coronavirus
  • On April 19, 2020, an Oneida County resident who has tested positive for COVID-19 was at the Walmart located at 5815 Rome-Taberg Road in Rome between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and at the Tops Friendly Market located at 217 Erie Blvd W. in Rome between 9:15 a.m. and 10 a.m.
    • Risk to the public is low as the person was wearing a mask. Anyone who was in those stores during  that time period should monitor themselves for symptoms until May 3 and contact their health care provider if symptoms develop. You do not have to automatically self-quarantine.
  • On April 16, 17, & 20, 2020, an Oneida County resident who has tested positive for COVID-19 was working at the Citgo located at 3931 Oneida Street in Washington Mills. The employee only left his enclosed workspace between noon and 1 p.m. each of those days and was wearing a mask.
    • Risk to the public is low. Anyone who was at the gas station during that time period should monitor themselves for symptoms until April 30, May 1 and May 4 respectively, 4 and contact their health care provider if symptoms develop. You do not have to automatically self-quarantine.
  • On April 15, 16, 17, 18, 21 & 22, 2020, an Oneida County resident who has tested positive for COVID-19 worked the 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. shift at the Walmart located at 4765 Commercial Drive in New Hartford.
    • Risk to the public is low as the employee was wearing a mask each time. Anyone who was in the store during  that time period should monitor themselves for symptoms until April 29, April 30, May 1, May 2, May 5 & May 6 respectively, and contact their health care provider if symptoms develop. You do not have to automatically self-quarantine.
