Oneida County Health Dept. Postpones Upcoming Community Events


ONEIDA COUNTY, NY (WUTR-TV) — The County continues to confront the COVID-19 virus head on. The health of the public is Oneida County’s number one priority. The department will continue to work to address the guidance directed by our federal, state and local experts and leaders on best upcoming community events sponsored by the Oneida County Health Department will be postponed.

As this time, the following events will be postponed:

March 20th – Nurse’s Date at Cornell Cooperative Extension

March 25th – Car Seat Safety Event at Deerfield Fire Station

March 27th – Rabies Clinic at Trenton Municipal Center

“The safety of our community and our employees are priority now. We understand the events we provide to the community are valuable, however, at this time, we need to focus on actions that slow the transmission of COVID-19,” says Phyllis Ellis, BSN, MS, FACHE.

As Oneida County faces this unprecedented time, we continue to encourage all residents to do what they can to fight COVID-19. Please continue to practice good hygiene, social distancing, and stay home if you are sick, etc. Remember, we are all in this together.
