Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Daniel Maslowski spent his early years exploring the city that never sleeps. Since a very young age, Daniel has been fascinated with weather and dreamed about one day becoming a broadcast meteorologist. He studied meteorology at SUNY Oswego and experienced everything from lake effect snow bands to heat waves and waterspouts. After a successful run as chief meteorologist for WTOP-10 TV at Oswego, Daniel graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology and moved to Utica to pursue his dreams of becoming a meteorologist/multimedia journalist for WUTR.
“Meeting so many wonderful people and being able to participate in so many clubs and organizations has been an amazing experience,” Daniel said. “Being elected chief meteorologist for WTOP-10, captain of the NCAA men’s tennis team and winning the Launch It competition are some of my most proud accomplishments in college.”
During his free time, Daniel enjoys visiting his family on the weekends, going on walks with his German Shepherd Max, hiking, playing tennis, soccer, and board games with friends.
