Craig Flint joins the Eyewitness News Team as chief meteorologist. He forecasts the weather every weekday on Eyewitness News at 6pm and 11pm on WUTR and Eyewitness News First at 10pm on WFXV.
Craig began is his career as a weather assistant in Albany, where he worked with a veteran team of meteorologists to formulate weather forecasts and weather graphics.
Craig has also gained valuable experience working as a meteorologist in Syracuse, Elmira/Corning and Erie, PA. Craig knows lake effect snow!
Craig is originally from Central New York. He grew up in northern Otsego County. Craig has been into weather since he was 9 years old. He has covered everything from severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, flash flooding, and lake effect snow.
“The most memorable weather event I’ve covered in my career was Irene in late August of 2011, which produced devasting flooding in upstate and Central New York. I’ll never forget all the flooding and the damage from that storm, it is something that is forever etched in my mind” says Flint.
When he is not forecasting the weather, Craig loves listening to country music, but his favorite band is the Dave Matthews Band. He is excited to be back home in CNY and cannot wait to take part in the great food that Utica has to offer, especially the riggies!
