This special event is the Oneida County History Center’s largest annual fundraiser hosted by longtime emcee Joe Kelly, Oneida County Tourism, President Kelly Blazosky and History Center Executive Director Rebecca McLain. The 2021 goal is to raise $30,000 to support the organization’s mission to protect and preserve Central New York history for present and future generations.

The History Center does not receive government funding and relies solely on the generous support of members and private contributors. Contributions pledged during the 2021 Telethon will support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives including continued care of our growing genealogical, archival, and artifact collections; free access to the research library for students and low-cost access for non-members; internship opportunities for college and high school students; free and discontinued virtual programming; exhibit development and installation, including a new Kid’s Center!

Several special incentives are being offered during the live broadcast. The first 40 callers to pledge $50 or more will be eligible to receive a limited-edition, History Center water bottle. This special give-away is sponsored by Oneida County Tourism.

You can double your impact by calling the Staffworks Matching Challenge from 7:00-8:00 pm. The phone number to call in a membership or pledge is 315-735-3642.
