Utica Police: Infant Remains Identified As Levon Wameling

Utica Police have confirmed the remains of the missing infant found earlier this month are those of baby Levon Wameling. Below is the official release: "After extensive DNA testing conducted by the Onondaga Medical Examiners office, the remains of Baby Levon Wameling have been identified as those that were recovered from the Mohawk River earlier this month. The Utica Police continue to investigate this case, with the hope that the truth will be learned and the person(s) responsible are held accountable.

"After extensive DNA testing conducted by the Onondaga Medical Examiners office, the remains of Baby Levon Wameling have been identified as those that were recovered from the Mohawk River earlier this month. The Utica Police continue to investigate this case, with the hope that the truth will be learned and the person(s) responsible are held accountable.

The UPD will not have any further information to offer in this case this weekend. There has been no cause of death ruling by the M.E.’s office. When more information is learned we will release it when appropriate."
