Utica College Celebrates 'International Students Day'

Some Utica College students got to explore the world today without even leaving their campus. Utica College celebrated 'International Students Day' with a flag ceremony and fair. Nine new students from different countries presented their national flag to their class-mates along with their countries' national anthem. Students could then visit different booths and tables that represented different countries and cultures to learn more about their friends.

Students could then visit different booths and tables that represented different countries and cultures to learn more about their friends.

"I'm from Sweden. I thought it would be a fun thing to do. A lot of people don't travel around the world, so this a chance to get a glimpse of people and talk to people from other countries, and its a great opportunity to have them talk to us and ask us questions," says Johan Hallstrom, Utica College student and Sweden native.

Utica College has more than 100 international students enrolled from 27 countries.
