With nano-Utica on the way, the city is preparing to accommodate more people moving into the area.

Utica's Urban Renewal Agency is now showcasing properties throughout the city.

Today the organization held an open house at 1625 Elm Street.

It gave anyone interested in purchasing or occupying the apartment a chance to take a look.

“This event in particular is important for people to see, they have to see what we have to put their application in. A lot of people are interested, our phones are ringing off the hook, because of the nano announcement, downtown development, there’s development east side, west side of Utica. Things are really happening,” Coordinator for Urban Renewal Andy Brindisi said.

The agency's next open house will be taking place tomorrow from 10-11 am at 135 Pleasant Street.

To view photos or descriptions of these properties, simply go to the Utica Urban Renewal Facebook page.
