Pizza Sales Spike for Thanksgiving

Stores opening up early for holiday shoppers aren't the only ones seeing a spike in sales. Thanksgiving Eve is one of the most popular times to buy pizza.
Stores opening up early for holiday shoppers aren't the only ones seeing a spike in sales. Thanksgiving Eve is one of the most popular times to buy pizza. According to Dominoes Pizza, they will deliver more than one-million pizza's across the nation, making it their busiest night of the year. And locally, the manager of Charlie's Pizza has a good idea why the same holds true here at home.
"No one seems to want to cook for Thanksgiving so they all come out for pizza, it's the easiest, it's the quickest, and we're always ready for them, we had all three of our stores, North Utica, Washington Mills, and Whitesboro, they were all jamming last night and we're prepared to be pretty busy again tonight," said Claudine Peters.
So while you may be having turkey, cranberry, and stuffing tomorrow, there's a good chance pizza's for dinner tonight.
