Oneida County Sheriff's Office Honors the Vets Among Them

More than a dozen veterans who are also members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office were honored today. Sheriff Rob Maciol says serving the country lends itself well to serving the county. And many veterans look for careers in public service after leaving the military. That's why about sixty of those who work for the Sheriff's Office now were once a part of the armed forces.
"Having this ceremony is to honor those and thank those who not only serve the people of oneida county each and every day in keeping them safe but on Veterans Day thanking them for the service that they gave to our country," said Sheriff Maciol.
The veterans were given service pins to be worn on their uniforms.
