What was once just talk of revitalization in downtown Utica is now becoming a reality. The space above Master Pizza on Genesee Street is now home to five new loft-style apartments, featuring exposed brick and up to 16-feet high ceilings. This is just one of the several construction projects in the works in downtown Utica that could amount to eighty new apartments in total. Two-thirds of this 160- thousand-dollar renovation was covered by a grant, which let the building owner finally utilize space that had gone to waste.
