It's the most wonderful time of the year for many at Best Buy. With so much new technology this year, lots of brand new gadgets have been selling off the shelves.

“We're purchasing a laptop, a television,  Internet Roku connections so we can watch the Internet on our television at home,” says Best Buy shopper Rick Lamb.

TVs and tablets have been the hottest selling items partially because of decreased cost, according to the store's sales manager.

"I think now, because the prices are so affordable, that people are getting extra TVs for that guestroom, office, kitchen. They're like oh its so inexpensive! Let's add another TV,” says store manager Stephanie Bowden.

“It was kind’ve stunning to see the prices on here from when we bought our first flat screen. I believe there was a comma in the number and now you don't see the comma in the numbers as frequently,” says David Lemire.

According to the store, consumers are attracted to the new touch screen functionality available on laptops this year. For many, it’s a better deal since some of these laptops have more sales.

“Well I was just using the touch screen. I was returning one today because I ordered one without that so we reordered and got one with the touch screen,” says Lamb.

Store managers expect the frantic holiday purchases to continue.
