FORMER CLINTON COMET DIES

Anderson was known for his skills on the ice. He was also known for his contributions to the game and his love of the Mohawk Valley and hockey fans everywhere.
Saturday night was known as *hockey night in Clinton* during the years when the Clinton Comets dominated the E-H-L. To this day fans say when they remember those days some names instantly come to mind. Among them: Pat Kelly, Dave Armstrong, Borden Smith, and Ian Anderson. Anderson played in five leagues over the course of his career. Between 1965 and 1970 he collected an incredible two hundred and twelve points. Born in Ontario, Anderson decided to stay in  the area calling Clinton home.
His passing - coming after a long illness - will be recognized with a moment of silence when the Utica Comets play the Rochester Americans November 23rd.
