FNF: Section 3 Championship Football preview.

A preview of each Section 3 Championship football game being played this weekend at the Dome.
WELCOME BACK TO FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER. 
THIS WEEKEND MARKS THE UNOFFICIAL END OF THE FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SEASON AS THE CHAMPIONS OF THE SECTION 3 FOOTBALL SEASON WILL BE CROWNED IN SYRACUSE AT THE CARRIER DOME.
THROUGHOUT THE DAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY THE TOP TWO TEAMS FROM EACH CLASS IN SECTION 3 WILL GO TO BATTLE ON THE GRIDIRON.
FOR EACH GAME THERE IS A LOSER, AND A HARD TO SWALLOW END TO AN OTHERWISE GREAT SEASON.
AND THERE IS A WINNER, ANOTHER BANNER TO HANG FROM THE RAFTERS AND A CHANCE TO MOVE ON TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT.

WE BEGIN OUR SECTION 3 CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW IN CLASS TWO-A WHERE THE CBA BROTHERS WILL DEFEND THEIR 2012 CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST THE HENNINGER BLACK KNIGHTS.
FOR CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY, 2013 MARKS THE 5TH STRAIGHT YEAR THE BROTHERS HAVE PLAYED IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, THEIR FIRST WIN DURING THAT TIMEFRAME CAME LAST SEASON WHEN THEY BEAT BALDWINSVILLE 35-24 FOR THE CROWN.
HENNINGER MEANWHILE FINDS ITSELF BACK IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2008.
THAT SEASON THE BLACK KNIGHTS BEAT WEST GENESEE 44-27 FOR  THE CROWN.
9-0 CBA AND 7-2 HENNINGER KICKOFF FOR THE CLASS AA CHAMPIONSHIP TOMORROW AT 3PM.

IN CLASS A THE TOP SEEDED INDIAN RIVER WARRIORS WILL TAKE ON THE CARTHAGE COMETS.
THE BOYS FROM 8-1 INDIAN RIVER ARE IN POSITION TO BRING HOME THE SCHOOL'S FIRST SECTION 3 CLASS A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
CARTHAGE WILL ALSO COME INTO THE GAME AT 8-1, THEIR ONLY LOSS A 48-12 BEATDOWN AT THE HANDS OF INDIAN RIVER IN OCTOBER.
THE CLASS A CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE DETERMINED TOMORROW NIGHT AT 6.

OVER IN CLASS B THE ONEIDA INDIANS WILL TAKE ON THE DEFENDING CLASS B CHAMPION CAZENOVIA LAKERS.
THE 9-0 LAKERS WILL LOOK TO MAKE IT BACK TO BACK SEASONS WITH A 10-0 RECORD AND A CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER.
STANDING IN THEIR WAY IS THE 8-1 ONEIDA INDIANS WHO, THANKS TO THE PLAY OF SENIOR RUNNING BACK DYLAN CAFALONE AND JUNIOR QUARTERBACK RORY MCCARTHY, LAST WEEK KNOCKED OFF PREVIOUSLY UNBEATED AND TOP SEEDED HOMER IN A SEMIFINAL GAME.
ONEIDA RETURNS TO THE DOME FOR IT'S 4TH CLASS B TITLE GAME IN THE PAST 6 SEASONS.
THE CLASS B CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF AT 3PM ON SUNDAY.

IN CLASS C THE GENERAL BROWN LIONS WILL SQUARE OFF WITH THE IMMACULATE HEART CENTRAL CAVALIERS.
IMMACULATE HEART OR WATERTOWN IHC COMES IN AT A PERFECT 9-0 INCLUDING A 28-26 WIN OVER GENERAL BROWN IN MID-OCTOBER.
FOR THE 8-1 LIONS, THAT LOSS TO IHC WAS THE ONLY BLEMISH ON AN OTHERWISE FLAWLESS SEASON.
THE CLASS C CHAMPIONSHIP BEGINS AT NOON ON SUNDAY.

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST IS CLASS D WHERE TWO DEFENDING CHAMPIONS WILL DUKE-IT-OUT.
THE DEFENDING SECTION 3 CHAMPION 8-1, SANDY CREEK ADVANCED TO THE 2013 CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH A 24-12 WIN OVER DOLGEVILLE LAST WEEK.
WAITING TO MEET THEM AT THE DOME WILL BE THE 8-1 AND DEFENDING CLASS C-2 CHAMPION HERKIMER MAGICIANS.
LED BY SENIOR QUARTERBACK AUSTIN MILLS, THE MAGICIANS WILL LOOK TO WIN THEIR FIRST OUTRIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE THEY TOOK HOME THE CLASS C CROWN IN 2011.
THE SECTION 3 CLASS D CHAMPIONSHIP GAME KICKS OFF TOMORROW AT NOON.
